Anika Thota

Anika Thota (she/her) is from the United States, currently studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a freshman. She is majoring in Community Health with a concentration in Public Health Policy and Administration, and she hopes to pursue a duel-degree in Management. Additionally, she plans to attend law school and as a international or human rights lawyer. She is passionate about activism, and has a keen interest in addressing colorism, mental health, and sexism within the South Asian community. As someone who is actively involved in politics, she believes it is vital for young people to speak up for what they believe is right and voice their opinions, as they will be the next generation to step into roles of political power. Aside from VofZ, her interests include traveling, spending time with friends, baking, and writing.
